Summary of Responsibilities held
Translation: Translation (between German and English)
support for several overseas projects in the area of Information
Technology. The support involved manual translations as well as
building of terminology databases and the translation software’s
memory of automating translations. Handled translations in
information technology, international banking, securities trading,
insurance, cargo handling, chemicals and dyes, railway ticketing
and print and publishing. Also done free-lance assignments in the
field of mechanical, chemical, electrical and electronics
engineering.
Translation Management: Overseas client liaison, complete
planning of work, definition of process and quality standards,
identification and training of translators, resourcing of
free-lance translators, and people and schedule management. Managed
translation work for documentation in German, French, Japanese,
Spanish, Dutch, Danish and Swedish.
Teaching: Well established in teaching German as a Foreign
Language with special emphasis on Business German. Also conducted
German school for children of native speakers.
Development of Instructional Resources: Conceptualisation,
design and development of computer-based training programs and
other conventional training resources.
Training Management: Resourcing of faculty from academic,
consular and other sources for the conduct of courses in various
foreign languages for company staff prior to their overseas project
deputations.
Interpretation: Live interpretation (between German,
English, Hindi, Marathi) during business meetings at the corporate

court in Nurnberg
